Empowering Nonprofits

AT UNITED WAY OF BLOUNT COUNTY, we believe that strong nonprofits are critical to the success of the community.

Professional Development

We acknowledge how difficult it is for nonprofits to have the resources for professional development. United Way of Blount County offers high-quality, relevant continuing education opportunities at an affordable cost.

Check the event calendar {link} to see upcoming trainings open to nonprofit professionals and volunteers.

Helpline Meetings & Email List

8:30am on the first Thursday of every month is Helpline! Join organizations serving Blount County to network and learn about available services. This hour-long meeting allows any organizations serving the community to discuss the challenges they are facing and brainstorm solutions.

We also send out Helpline emails. It is hard to know about all of the available community resources – resource fairs, new programs, mobile food pantries, etc. We keep track of these for you! Sign up to receive weekly emails catered to those who serve the most vulnerable.

GrantStation

Grant writing is difficult, but finding grant opportunities is even harder! United Way of Blount County has a subscription to GrantStation through United Way of Greater Knoxville. GrantStation is an online database of grant opportunities. Anyone looking for grant funding can use GrantStation at the UWBC office upon request.
