We understand that to make a difference in Blount County we have to work together to achieve so much more than we can alone. Blount County Student Wellness Coalition – $25,000

The Blount County Student Wellness Coalition provides opportunities for student leaders from all five public high schools to envision a healthy future for themselves and their peers, engage others in conversation around wellness and substance misuse prevention, and make long-lasting change.

One-to-One Mentoring – $2,190

The program makes meaningful one-to-one mentoring relationship matches between adults and children to build strong, close relationships – friends to guide, protect, and inspire marginalized and vulnerable youth to reach their full potential.

Smoky Mountain Meals on Wheels – $85,000

Smoky Mountain Meals on Wheels prepares nutritious meals to the Blount County senior population (60+ years old) who are challenged with an inability to obtain food or prepare meals. Equally impactful is the program’s source of weekly contact for a senior living in isolated situations.

Home Repair Program – $50,000

Habitat’s Home Repair Program is built on the principles that all are equal and decent housing is a matter of conscience. They partner with eligible homeowners delivering affordable health, safety, and mobility repairs.

Child Food – $12,540

The club provides nutritious after-school snacks and warm, healthy dinners to ensure Club members’ health and well-being.

Education & Literacy – $70,000

Boys & Girls Club’s Education & Literacy Program is to provide homework help, tutoring, and educational enrichment activities that empower youth to achieve academic success in core subject areas, advance to the next grade level, and graduate from high school prepared for post-secondary education and a fulfilling career.

Prevention & Health – $53,973

The club provides healthy lifestyle education and experiences after school to teach youth healthy habits.

Court Appointed Special Advocates Training – $35,000

CASA of the Tennessee Heartland advocates for abused and neglected children in the court system, ensuring their voices are heard and their best interests are protected. Their trained volunteers work tirelessly to help children find safe, permanent homes while providing crucial support and stability.

Mental Health and Recovery – $50,000

Compassion Counseling is a nonprofit mental health agency offering affordable, sliding-scale counseling services. Their mission is to provide accessible, compassionate support for individuals and families, fostering hope, healing, and emotional well-being in our community.

Pediatric Rehabilitation – $5,286

The program provides comprehensive, family-centered rehabilitation services to children, including feeding therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech/language therapy.

Dianne Hagey Dialysis Transportation – $13,500

The Dianne Hagedy Dialysis Transportation Program ensures that low-to-moderate income East Tennesseans, including ALICE, reach life sustaining dialysis treatments. Dialysis is not optional; it is a physician-prescribed medical treatment necessary to sustain life.

Emergency Shelter – $35,000

The program provides shelter for families experiencing homelessness and helps families identify and reach goals so that they can return to permanent housing and remain successfully stable.

Prevention & Diversion – $30,000

This program is there for when a family’s homelessness is imminent, and they work to avoid the trauma of a family losing their housing by providing case management and community support, rental assistance, security deposits, utility support, and landlord mediation.

Transitional Housing – $28,500

The Transitional Housing program aims to empower families by helping them secure safe, permanent housing. Through ongoing support and resources, Family Promise assists families in navigating the transition from temporary housing to stable, settled living arrangements they can truly call their own.

Crittenton Youth Services – $19,000

This program provides intensive residential treatment to female teenagers in state custody who are in crisis and suffer from the long-lasting residual effects of significant trauma.

The Gate Day Program – $25,000

The Gate’s mission is to help adults with disabilities achieve independence by providing social activities and pre-vocational training. They achieve their mission through the day program that runs 4 days a week, August – May.

Blount County Enrichment – $35,000

Girls Inc. of TN Valley inspires girls to be strong, smart, and bold through direct programming and activities focusing on STEM, leadership development, and life skills education in a safe, girls-only environment.

Emergency Assistance – $40,000

Good Neighbors of Blount County assists with rent or utilities for neighbors experiencing a temporary crisis. They provide education, individualized coaching on community resources, and a household budget review as they walk alongside our neighbors building relationships to provide assistance, share hope, and empower lives.

SURE Deposits – $15,000

The SURE Deposit Program with Good Neighbors of Blount County helps individuals and families secure housing and utility services after experiencing homelessness. They help our neighbors with a portion of the move-in cost that can hinder stable housing.

ScoutReach – $20,000

Scouting provides experiences that benefit youths’ education, character development, leadership skills, ethical decision-making, and service to others.

Crisis Hotline – $25,000

The Haven House Crisis Hotline is a 24-hour, confidential hotline open to any callers seeking information about Haven House services, safety planning, emergency shelter, and/or community resources regarding domestic violence issues. Staff are always available to listen, provide emotional support, and to safety plan.

Emergency Shelter – $90,000

Haven House’s Emergency Shelter program provides emergency shelter and wrap-around services for victims of domestic violence fleeing an abusive situation. For those fleeing a violent situation, Haven House’s Emergency Shelter is a safe refuge for space and healing.

Hearing Aid Assistance – $2,340

The program supplements the cost of hearing aids for financially under-resourced families.

Civil Legal Aid and Homelessness Prevention – $80,000

The Civil Legal Aid program provides free legal help to low-income residents of Blount County in a range of civil legal matters. Types of cases include: consumer, education, family law/domestic violence, housing, public benefits, health insurance, help for seniors, and other miscellaneous legal matters.

Imagination Library – $8,000

The Imagination Library of Blount County is a program to provide free books to all eligible children from birth to age 5, regardless of socioeconomic status.

Adolescent Intensive Outpatient – $75,000

The Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a program designed to serve justice-involved and/or high-risk youth and their families utilizing a multi-system, family-centered, trauma-informed approach that will provide comprehensive evidence-based treatment, including early intervention, individual and family therapy, intensive group therapy, and recovery support services.

Adolescent Residential Treatment – $41,200

The Adolescent Residential Treatment Program is a co-occurring treatment program for adolescents who are in need of intensive rehabilitation for substance abuse and/or mental health needs.

Adult and Family Centered Recovery Services – $22,600

The program provides unique and specialized evidence-based substance abuse treatment for adults and families.

Firm Foundations – $46,200

This program improves well-being by empowering participants to achieve safe and stable housing, financial stability through vocational and educational attainment, and life skills needed to become self-sufficient.

Mental Health Care for Indigent & Uninsured Adults & Children – $71,379

This program provides mental healthcare to underinsured or uninsured adults and children in our community.

Opioid and Co-Occurring Treatment – $49,612

The program provides outpatient detoxification, evidence-based psychotherapy, and wrap-around recovery services for adults diagnosed with a substance use/opioid use disorder.

Sexual Assault Center Advocacy – $18,200

This program provides victims of sexual assault 24/7 access to advocates who answer the crisis hotline and provide immediate and ongoing support for clients.

Stewards of Children – $10,000

New Hope’s prevention program offers a free 2.5-hour training called Stewards of Children, developed by Darkness to Light, which teaches adults how to recognize, react responsibly, and prevent child sexual abuse.

Therapy – $60,000

New Hope’s therapy program serves Blount County children who have experienced abuse or trauma. The therapists are trained in multiple evidence-based treatment models, seeing a combined total of 80-90 children per week. Families never receive a bill for services.

Food Rescue – $20,000

This program rescues food and donated goods from food manufacturers, grocery stores, restaurants, and farmers to prevent waste and provide agencies with high-quality, fresh, nutritious food for free. Food is usually picked up and dropped off on the same day.

Assisted Transportation – $25,000

SCHAS operates an assisted transportation service in Blount County that allows a trained caregiver to transport clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping or other necessary trips. The caregiver remains with the individual during the trip/appointment, and assists them in navigating to and from as needed.

Homemaker Services – $55,000

SCHAS Homemaker Services provide assistance with activities of daily living to older adults and persons with disabilities who prefer to remain safely in their own homes.  This assistance consists of caregiver services such as light housekeeping and personal care, as well as transportation and errands.

Home/Community-Based Early Intervention – $25,000

TEC Early Intervention offers in-home, personalized support to young children with special needs from birth to age five. Through caregiver coaching, they enhance caregiver capacity to support their child’s development, helping children grow to reach their full potential, at no cost to families.

Trinity Dental Clinic – $30,000

Trinity Dental Clinic provides comprehensive dental care, including exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, dentures, and partials. Their goal is to relieve dental pain, restore smiles, and improve overall wellness through quality, compassionate care.

True Purpose – $60,000

True Purpose Ministries is a faith-based, long-term, addiction recovery program providing evidence-based treatment and housing to men and women in a structured, therapeutic community environment.
