THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING INITIATIVE OF BLOUNT COUNTY, led by United Way of Blount County, aims to identify the causes and effects of inadequate affordable housing in Blount County. The AHI will propose and strive to implement solutions to the problem in order to ensure the future of a thriving community.

What is affordable housing?
Housing, including utilities, that costs no more than 30% of the household’s gross income (U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development).
2024 Project on Housing Concerns in Blount County
Thanks to the Trinity Health Foundation, United Way of Blount County was able to conduct an assessment of housing concerns.
